Peer-to-Peer Mentor Program
KNOWLEDGE IS NOT OURS. KNOWLEDGE IS TO BE SHARED.
Our Peer-to-Peer Mentor Program is one that builds meaningful and productive connections between people across the world, with the key
intention of supporting the skill development of young people affected by conflict.
We are looking for English-speaking mentors across the globe who are eager to take on the role of mentoring our highly motivated and inspiring
cohort of students.
Our mentoring program is flexible, undemanding, and engaging. It seeks to nurture enriching exchanges between individuals
around the world with different lived and professional experiences.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Mentors’ Criteria

EXPECTATIONS
- Mentors are fluent English speakers.
- Mentors are able to dedicate 30 minutes a week, or one hour every two weeks to speak with their mentees.
- Mentors are organised and able to schedule and lead Zoom calls on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with their mentees.
- Mentors are curious about mentees’ needs and able to adapt sessions according to mentees’ particular needs and concerns.
- Mentors may be asked to support mentees with specific tasks. This includes providing feedback on written work, support with CV drafting, university applications,
and other practical advice that is valued but often unavailable to our cohort of students. - We encourage a peer-to-peer form of mentoring. While mentors’ experiences guide this exchange, we hope mentors and mentees can share their viewpoints,
learn from one another, and build friendships. - The edSeed team is here to support mentors and mentees with any questions or concerns.
